Did that process - ended up with 19 pages !!

However, I created a new document, employed that "wrapping" setting you suggested and copy/pasted the first two pages.

This resulted in normal behaviour, so thanks for the efforts and I'm happy to call this problem closed.

After extending to a 3rd page, saving and re-opening the file has now expanded it to 10 pages!

I've produced a document consisting wholly of Header, Footer and the main document which consists of a table.
After reaching two pages in size I found that saving the document and re-opening gave me FOUR pages - the first two being duplicated as pages 3-4.
