Can't Change Document Background Color

the options they say to click do not exist and I'm getting irritated. the bright white page hurts my eyes and I need to change it to be able to work.

Could someone provide steps, with pictures?

Thanks for your post. Here is the screen recording of the instructions for your reference. This will change the background color for the default template and for all new documents which you will create based on that template.

So, in other words, this feature isn't available on the free version, because the features in "Section" under Layout are grayed out, and Background isn't even one of the features.

That's true. Not included in FreeOffice, this feature is only available in the commercial version of SoftMaker Office.
